Virus & Malware Removal Gold Coast

Mobile Techs offers a comprehensive service to remove viruses, trojans, ransomware, spyware, adware and other unwanted programs from any computer or laptop — Windows or Mac, all major brands. With over 18 years of industry experience we know how infections behave and where they hide: we remove the malware, repair the damage it caused, close the door it came in through, and verify the system is clean before we’re done. Removal can be carried out remotely Australia-wide or on-site across the Gold Coast and Brisbane, with most cleanups completed the same day.

We don’t just clean the infection and leave. We’ll show you how it most likely got in, make sure you have reputable protection set up and working, and leave you with simple, practical habits that dramatically lower the odds of it happening again.

Common warning signs: constant pop-ups, a suddenly slow computer, your browser redirecting to sites you didn’t ask for, programs you don’t remember installing, your security software mysteriously turned off, or friends receiving strange emails from you. If any of that sounds familiar, take these steps first:

  DO
  • Disconnect from the internet — turn off Wi-Fi or unplug the network cable — to cut the malware off from its operators
  • Stop entering passwords, banking details, or anything sensitive on that computer
  • If you have reputable antivirus already installed, let it run a full scan
  • If you suspect your accounts are exposed, change important passwords from a different, clean device
  • Write down what you noticed — pop-up wording, what was clicked, when it started
  • Call us on 1300 644 588 — describing the symptoms costs nothing
  DON’T
  • Don’t call phone numbers in pop-up warnings or pay anything they demand — legitimate security software never asks you to call a number
  • Don’t download “cleaner” or “speed-up” tools from pop-ups and ads — fake antivirus is one of the most common infections
  • Don’t plug in USB drives or connect the computer to others — some malware spreads to anything it touches
  • Don’t keep using the computer for shopping, banking or email as if nothing’s wrong
  • Don’t assume a factory reset is the only option — a proper cleanup usually saves your files and programs

Faced with a ransom note or gave remote access to a scam caller? Those need slightly different first steps — see the emergency answers on our FAQ page, then call us.
