Still on Windows 10? You’re 9 months past end-of-support and ESU coverage ends October 2026
Windows 10 standard support ended on 14 October 2025 — nine months ago and counting. Microsoft is still shipping monthly patches for Windows 10 via the paid Extended Security Updates (ESU) program, but consumer ESU coverage runs out on 13 October 2026. Every day a Windows 10 machine stays unenrolled from ESU, it’s exposed to newly discovered vulnerabilities that go unpatched — an easy target for malware, ransomware, and data theft. And with the original 2011 Secure Boot certificates already starting to expire, unpatched machines are also losing boot-level protection over time. If your business handles customer data, running an unsupported operating system can also put you offside with your obligations and insurance.
Mobile Techs can enrol eligible Windows 10 machines in ESU as a bridge — free for consumers via a Microsoft account, or paid for business — or upgrade them to Windows 11, remotely and after hours, so there’s minimal downtime and no disruption to your workday. We check compatibility first, back up your data, handle the upgrade, and make sure everything works before we hand it back — at a fixed rate, with discounts for multiple machines.
