Privacy Policy

Introduction

Mobile Techs (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. It applies to information collected through our website, our on-site and remote IT services, and our web hosting services.

The information we collect may include your name, email address, phone number, home or business address, billing and payment details, and details about your devices, systems, and the services we provide to you. When you use our website, we may also collect standard analytics information such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited, including through cookies and similar technologies. During remote support sessions or repairs, we may incidentally see information stored on your device; we do not copy or retain this information except where needed to perform the agreed work.

How we use your information

We use your personal information to provide and manage our services — including booking and performing on-site and remote support, managing hosting accounts, invoicing and payment processing, and responding to your enquiries. We may also use your contact details to send service-related notices (such as job updates, renewal reminders, or security alerts) and, with your consent, occasional information about our services. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time.

We take reasonable steps to keep your personal information secure, including access controls and secure storage of records. We retain personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described above, or as required by law (for example, tax and accounting records), after which it is securely deleted or de-identified.

Disclosure, access & contact

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with trusted third parties only where necessary to provide our services — such as payment processors, hosting infrastructure providers, and software suppliers — or where required by law. You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you at any time by contacting us at office@mobiletechs.com.au or 1300 644 588. If you have a privacy concern, please contact us first; if you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au. We may update this policy from time to time, and the current version will always be published on this page.

Overseas disclosure

Some of the service providers we use — such as payment processors, remote support platforms, and software or cloud suppliers — may store or process information on servers located outside Australia. Where personal information is disclosed to overseas recipients, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled in a manner consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Data breach notification

In the unlikely event of a data breach involving personal information that is likely to result in serious harm, we will act in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act — including notifying affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required.
