Terms & Conditions

01. Agreement & Scope of Services

These Terms & Conditions govern the supply of IT services by Mobile Techs (“we”, “us”, “our”) to you, the customer. By booking, purchasing, or accepting any of our services — whether delivered on-site, remotely, or through a hosting account — you agree to these terms. Our services are available to both residential (home) and business customers, and include:

  • On-site IT support for homes and businesses (Gold Coast and Brisbane)
  • Workshop and laptop repairs, upgrades, and troubleshooting
  • Virus & malware removal and data recovery
  • Remote support, delivered Australia-wide
  • Web, email, and application hosting, and website & server security
  • VoIP services, configuration, Fax2Email, and custom dial plans
  • Monitoring, managed IT services, and custom projects

02. Quotes, Fees & Payment

Quotes are estimates based on the information available at the time and remain valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. If additional work or parts are identified during a job, we will discuss and agree these with you before proceeding. Labour is charged at our current rates, and on-site visits may attract a call-out fee. Payment is due on completion of the work unless other arrangements have been agreed in writing. Recurring services, including web hosting, are billed in advance and must be kept up to date for the service to continue.

03. Remote & On-Site Service Terms

For remote support, you authorise us to connect to your computer or network for the purpose of the agreed work. You may observe the session and end it at any time. You are responsible for providing a working internet connection and for closing any sensitive or confidential documents before the session begins. For on-site services, you agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the premises and equipment. If we attend a site and cannot perform the work for reasons outside our control, a call-out fee may still apply.

04. Data, Backups & Warranty

You are responsible for backing up your data before any service is performed. While we take all reasonable care, computer repairs, upgrades, and software work carry an inherent risk of data loss, and we are not liable for loss of data, software, settings, or configurations. Data recovery, where requested, is provided on a best-effort basis with no guarantee of success.

Parts and hardware supplied by us carry the manufacturer’s warranty. Our workmanship is guaranteed for 30 days from completion of the job. This guarantee does not cover new or unrelated faults, software issues arising after the service, or damage caused by misuse, malware, power events, or third parties.

05. Web Hosting Terms

Where we provide web hosting, our responsibility is limited to supplying the hosting account and managing the server, including server-level maintenance, monitoring, and infrastructure security. You are responsible for your website itself — including its code, themes, plugins, content, licensing, and all software updates — unless you have a separate written maintenance agreement with us. You must keep your website software up to date and secure; sites that are compromised, or that disrupt the server or other users, may be suspended until the issue is resolved. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of website files and databases; any server-level backups we perform are for disaster recovery purposes only and are not guaranteed. Hosting accounts must not be used for unlawful content, spam, or any activity that harms the server, network, or other users. Hosting fees are payable in advance, and accounts may be suspended or terminated for non-payment or breach of these terms.

06. Limitation of Liability & General

Nothing in these terms excludes any guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to resupplying the services or paying the cost of having them supplied again, and we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of data, income, profit, or business opportunity. We may update these terms from time to time, and the current version will always be published on this page. These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Questions about these terms can be sent to office@mobiletechs.com.au or 1300 644 588.

07. Cancellations & Uncollected Equipment

If you need to cancel or reschedule a booking, please give us as much notice as possible — at least 24 hours for on-site appointments. Where we attend a booked appointment and cannot access the premises or equipment, a call-out fee may apply as described in section 03. Equipment left with us for repair should be collected within 90 days of being notified that the work is complete; uncollected equipment may thereafter be dealt with in accordance with Queensland’s uncollected goods legislation, and storage fees may apply.
